Leah Linh – Fortunes and reflections in the era of Peter II of Savoy

14 September 2023 - 12 June 2024

Temporary exhibition extension! Through her contemporary perspective, the Swiss artist (*2000) will honor the historical figure nicknamed “Little Charlemagne”. This is a commission for exclusive works. From 14 September 2023 to 12 June 2024, 12 unique representations will take pride of place for the public in the heart of the fortress: paintings, canvases, sculpture and other original media. Leah Linh’s first painting in gold leaf has determined the poster for the temporary exhibition.

Peter II of Savoy, the iconic prince of Chillon Castle history, ordered the reinforcement in its defensive architecture. Destined for an ecclesiastical career as canon of Lausanne Cathedral, he inherited the county on the death of his nephew. He undertook a phenomenal territorial expansion through alliances and marriages, while advocating administrative practices.
