Café Byron

Our brand-new Café Byron opened in June 2020! Visitors and locals are invited to come and sample our regional and seasonal cuisine in this new, ideally situated food and drinks space. With its large bay windows looking out over the castle, Café Byron will be open to visitors in need of a tasty pit-stop throughout the day.

Café Byron is open all year round from 10am-6pm, except 1st January and 25th December.

Please avoid wearing swimming costumes… Dogs are welcome on the terrace.

Fancy a quick drink while taking in one of the most beautiful views of Chillon?

Tucked away in the Savoy Garden, the castle ‘snack bar’ will help quench your thirst and feed those hunger pangs at the foot of the castle, a stone’s throw from Lake Geneva.

THE BAZaAR

Our ancient, listed bazaar offers a wide range of products to complement the shop inside the castle walls. This includes wooden toys, castle wine, teas, notebooks, chocolate, mugs, jewellery, and medieval-looking objects. You will also find postcards and magnets with delicious medieval recipes. Visitors can even take home tasty products bearing the VAUD CERTIFIÉ D’ICI label (sweet and savoury biscuits, flutes, honey, drinks, etc.).

We take great care to choose providers located in Switzerland and Europe, to preserve the environment. Wherever this is not possible, as is the case with stuffed toys, we opt for products made from 100% recycled plastic.

The Bazaar will be open in December 2024, during castle opening hours.

It will then be open from 2-5 January 2025, from 15 February to 31 October and from 1-31 December.

What treasures will you unearth at the Castle Shop?

Tucked away in the castle walls, the shop offers visitors a wide range of books and toys, along with souvenirs of Chillon highlights, castle wine and hand-crafted items made using traditional techniques. Visitors can even take home tasty products bearing the VAUD CERTIFIÉ D’ICI label (sweet and savoury biscuits, flutes, honey, drinks, etc.).

For even more historical treats, you’ll also find various history books available in French, English and German. And for the little ones… a treasure trove of medieval figurines, castle models, princess costumes and even a full suit of armour for your little knights and warrior princesses!

The shop is open every day of the year except 1 January and 25 December from 10am to 6pm.
