BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Celebrate your birthday in style – come and explore the castle with your friends.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays – as well as Sundays starting in April – we host birthday parties for children aged 5-12, complete with a tailor-made scavenger hunt to make their birthday one to remember.
Each of our party packages can be tailored to two age groups: ages 5-7 or 8-12.
One of our costumed party hosts will take children on an adventure of their choosing, rounded off with some party food. Choose from one of our packages and be a knight, warrior princess, monster hunter, explorer or wizard’s apprentice for the day!
The castle of legends
Fantastic creatures have attacked the castle. Drive them out with help from your friends! A Chillon helper will assist you along the way. But watch out… these monsters are sneaky! This scavenger hunt will truly test your stealth and skills.

The castle in battle
Knighthood is not just a given… you have to earn it! Together with help from fellow warriors and members of your court, you must pass various tests to become a real knight or warrior princess deemed worthy of the title by the Chillon constable himself. Will you be up to the challenge?

The archaeologists’ castle
Become Chillon’s chief archaeologist and head off with your team in search of fabulous relics. You’ll need to think quickly and work as a team to get past the many obstacles along the way.

Magic is brewing behind every stone in Chillon Castle. But sometimes… that can cause real problems! Help the castle sorcerer or sorceress mix their powerful potions to defeat the most horrid of hexes.

NB: this basic rate does not include a birthday cake. If you would like a cake, please bring one!
Second basic rate (2 adults and 10 children): 400 CHF (incl. 8.1% VAT)
Additional adult (2 max.): 15.00 CHF/pesron
This covers:
- Castle admission
- Entertainment around your chosen theme, for a total of 60 minutes
- A gift for the child celebrating their birthday
- A party favour for each guest
- Small room in Café Byron reserved for your birthday party (parents are responsible for service)
- Crockery and cutlery
- Drinks (syrups and water)
- The birthday cake (croustillant, 3 chocolates OR pear and chocolate entremet)
- VAT
NB: Parents are responsible for serving party food. Please let us know your choice of cake and any food intolerances.
Booking
Please book in writing, using the online form at least a month before your visit.
Warning! Birthday parties cannot be booked on the same night as Museums Night or Scary Night at the Castle, or the first three weekends in December (Christmas at Chillon Castle). Similarly, for private events on Saturday evenings, birthday parties can be brought forward by half an hour. Thank you for your understanding.
Terms and conditions
- Our birthday package is designed for children aged 5-12. This age range is also applicable to guests, including younger siblings.
- We can host a maximum of 10 children, including the child celebrating their birthday, along with two parents/guardians.
- Children must be accompanied by two adults who will be solely responsible for them.
- For the first basic rate, we take care of the party food arrangements (the room will be decorated, the table will be set, presents will be ready and drinks chilled). All you need to bring is the cake!
- For the second basic rate, Café Byron takes care of the party food arrangements, birthday cake included (the room will be decorated, the table will be set, presents will be ready and drinks chilled). Service must be managed by the parents.
- We recommend booking at least one month in advance. If your preferred date is not available, we will contact you with an alternative.
- Once your booking is confirmed, our Chillon helpers will get in touch to explain how our birthday parties work. They will handle any questions or requests.
- Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance, otherwise you will be charged in full.
