New lighting inaugurated
To enhance Chillon Castle’s poetic night-time image, the foundation and its partner, Romande Energie, started working on a total revamping of the castle’s lighting. The resulting design, entitled the Mirror Castle by the French and Swiss designers Jean-François Arnaud and Jean-Claude Deschamps, was unveiled on 26 October 2011. Chillon on Google Street View
Images were taken last autumn by nine cameras covering a 360 degree view, and now Chillon is on Google street view. You can then take a virtual walk around the courtyards and surroundings of the castle. But the interior needs to be visited live! To avoid issues concerning people’s identities, filming was done before opening times!

An audiovisual tour and a new arms room
Two years after the opening of our new museum tour, Chillon Castle Foundation has further enhanced your visit of our monument. The installation of a series of audiovisual terminals, an interactive table and the new arms room will enable you to find out even more about our 1000 years of history.
