From Byron to Ramuz, Turner to Courbet, countless artists have come to Chillon, and have been so impressed by their experience that they later represented the castle in their works.

To render them the same homage as they have to our monument, from 6 June to 26 October 2014, Chillon will present the “ghostly portraits” of these great figures created by Hugo Bonamin.

This young painter from Montreux, formerly Parisian and then Porteño because he lived many years in Buenos Aires, skillfully brings out the essence of people and captures them on canvas in a style that is all his own.
