From Byron to Ramuz, Turner to Courbet, countless artists have come to Chillon and have been so impressed by their experience that they later represented it in their works.

To afford them the same homage as they gave to our monument, from 6 June to 26 October 2014, Chillon presented the ‘ghostly portraits’ of these great figures created by Hugo Bonamin.

This young painter from Montreux, via Paris and many years in Buenos Aires, skillfully brings out the essence of people, capturing them on canvas in a style all his own.
