From September 18, 2025, to April 26, 2026, the exhibition Dissecting/Dressing Chillon: a story told through our collections tells the story of the castle through its collections and offers a unique rediscovery of the Lake Geneva fortress through history, traces, and staging.

A living monument, Chillon Castle stands at the crossroads of two approaches to heritage: should the site be stripped bare to reveal its architecture, or enriched with objects and decorations to bring its memory back to life? Over time, restorers, archaeologists, and collectors have favored one approach or the other.
Today, these visions converge: furniture, archaeological discoveries, and unusual pieces resonate with the castle walls.
