Finissage of the temporary exhibition

12 June 2024

Guided tour by the artist followed by an aperitif

On Wednesday June 12, the exhibition Leah Linh – Fortunes and Reflections in the era of Peter II of Savoy closes its doors after 9 months. An opportunity to see or revisit this magnificent exhibition for the last time, guided by the artist herself.

Leah Linh (*2000) has created twelve monumental works inspired by Peter II of Savoy (1203-1268). Nicknamed “Little Charlemagne”, this emblematic prince strengthened the power of his family and left his mark on the castle’s architecture.

Chillon Castle Foundation gave the artist from the Canton of Vaud complete freedom. Leah Linh used one of her favorite techniques, the application of gold leaf, as a reflection of the illuminated medieval manuscripts. The constraints of heritage and her creativity have enabled her to surpass herself and create unique works in a variety of formats.

The visit will be followed by an aperitif in the Castellan’s dining hall (from 5.30pm)

Castle’s closing time: 7pm
