Temporary Exhibition in collaboration with the Friends of Lake Geneva Steamships Association (ABVL).
« Models of the CGN Belle Epoque fleet– 10 models of the CGN’s historical fleet »
The Friends of Chillon Castle Foundation and the Friends of Lake Geneva Steamships Association have worked together to present ten exceptional models of the CGN’s historic paddle-wheel steamships - 1:50 scale models and some even 1:25.
The models on display are of the "La Suisse", the "Simplon", the "Helvétie", the "Rhône", the "Lausanne", the "Montreux", the "Savoie", the "Italie", the "Vevey" and the "Major-Davel".
The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the CGN’s turn-of-the-20th-century Belle Epoque fleet.
Through this exhibition, our hope is that visitors will become aware of the need to protect and conserve these ships, and also to discover another form of the heritage so closely linked to Chillon Castle, like its lake and its landscape.
FREE GUIDED TOUR!
Guided tour free of charge of the exhibits and the castle every Sunday at 15:15 by one of our guides in Edwardian Belle Epoque who will give you a glimpse of Chillon as it was one hundred years ago. (Entry fee applicable)
