The Circle of Friends of Chillon is organising a day centred on the theme of ‘ye olde market and medieval entertainment’, where Chillon will revive the knightly era.

The Circle of Friends of Chillon is organising a day centred on the theme of ‘ye olde market and medieval entertainment’. Chillon will revive the knightly era, with combats and duels using various weapons; ballistae and medieval crossbows known as arbalests will be on show. Families are invited to discover how rope, chainmail, shields, brushes and pottery were made. Turn your hand to calligraphy or medieval games. Discover the history of fede rings. Travel through time to exotic countries to learn about spices and how they were used in medieval cuisine.
The Courtyard of Honour will host ‘ye olde market’ (with various specialities), where you will also find light refreshments.
Price of castle entry, no additional fee.
Free for Friends of Chillon Castle Association members. and Drako Club members.
