Museums Night

"Got that castle inspiration?"

An unmissable event for night-owls! The Vaudois Riviera Museums Association opens the doors of eleven museums for a Night of discoveries...

For an enjoyable moment while appreciating the current temporary exhibitions, there are also many activities and a friendly down-to-earth atmosphere.

Visitors can also grill their ever-present cervelas sausages over the Veytaux lumberjacks’ fire or enjoy the delicious raclette serve by the Friends of Chillon Castle.

"Got that castle inspiration?"

Saturday 26 May from 5pm to Midnight (free entry)

Chillon Castle and the night-time have always been a source of inspiration for artists such as Byron, Rousseau and Dali alike. You too will be amazed by our inspiring walking LED light tour, thanks to Lumen Créations! Words will also take pride of place on the agenda, with an interactive meeting with ghostwriters and visitors, organised by Caractères Mobiles, and your own castle postcard to personalise and post. Flash tours for all the family (in French and English) will add the finishing touch to this fabulous castle evening.
Fancy a midnight snack? Our stands are sure to blow you away.
Your "old-timer" carriage awaits, and will transport you to the castle in style! You might even snap a photo of our Night Owl and get the chance to take part in a huge competition.

Organised by the Association of the Museums of the Riviera (AMRV), Museums Night includes:

•entry free of charge to the Museums of the Riviera
•original and unique activities in each museum, free of charge
•a big contest with over 100 prizes
•shuttle buses from one museum to another
•10 museums take part, with a programme of highly colourful and varied events

Children are under the responsibility of their parents or accompanying adults at all times.

A small area with vending machines is at your disposal for refreshments. In the Savoy Garden there is a small food and drinks stand where you can buy drinks, ice cream and sandwiches. You can also enjoy your picnic on the beach next to the castle and even swim. There are toilets and showers available.

Please do not picnic within the castle itself.
