A series of audiovisual terminals enable you to find out even more about our 1000 years of history.

You can view several 3-4 minutes films on eleven terminals located throughout the castle. Each sequence is dedicated to a particular theme: Chillon's history, its architecture, its military function, its prison past, daily life at the castle, the Romantic facet of the castle, the lands of the House of Savoy around Lake Geneva and the life of Peter II of Savoy, major builder of Chillon Castle in the 13th century.

The chapel also has a terminal with details about the history of this private place of worship of the Counts and Dukes of Savoy, and describing the murals on the walls and ceiling.

There are also two terminals especially designed for less mobile visitors.

Along with all this, you can experience the sounds of battle when you see the arms room in the keep, while the medieval silhouette projections down in the crypt are sure to astound both young and old.

These films can also be viewed on the audioguide.
