Discover graffiti of the Middle Ages
More information about Pro Patria

Sunday April 11th, 2010 - Educational workshop in partnership with Pro Patria

Chillon Castle and Pro Patria are offering educational workshops that allow children to have direct contact with our monument and its collections through an interactive approach, in a stimulating and learning-driven environment.

Based on the theme of “Restoration Crafts and Trades”, Pro Patria educational workshops highlight the heritage trades and bring professionals and the younger public together. The children will discover Chillon Castle with a historian’s eyes or wearing the hat of an archaeologist or restorer, through creative activities.

These educational workshops will enable them to become familiar with the materials and specialised skills of former years.

The first series of workshops held on 4, 11, 18, 21 and 25 October 2009 was highly successful. The second series is planned for the Easter break, on 28 March, 7 and 11 April 2010. Each workshop will be held twice on that day, from 10:00 – 12:00 and again from 14:00 – 16:00.
