At the Chillon Court of Flavours!

November 15th - Medieval Feast

The eight-course menu for this 3rd Medieval Feast has been taken from the "Le Viandier" cooking manual by Guillaume Tirel, cook of XIVth century kings and queens of France. It is considered to be the very first cookbook, appearing a few years before the work "Fait de cuisine" by Maître Chiquart, Amédée VIIIth of Savoy’s cook.

You will whet your appetite with sage wine at 11:30 and then retire to the Aula Magna where traditional roast boar will be turning on the spit in the monumental fireplace.

Your ears will delight to the sound of the medieval music of the Piccolo Niente ensemble, during various moments of this magnificent feast.
