December 2009 - Medieval Market

The Compagnie des Tours presents life at the castle an dits living history on 5, 6, 8, 12, 13, 19 and 20 Decembre 2009. They will reconstitute a typical kitchen, and there will also be a medieval grocery shop, a herb shop, drying ovens, a pottery, a blacksmith’s forge, a shoemaker and tannery, a candlemaker, wood-turning, basket-weaving, wool-spinning, calligraphy and heraldry, as well as illumination of texts.

All these demonstrations are done with period instruments, accompanied by the presence of jugglers and fire-eaters. Enjoy a colourful atmosphere in which to wander around the market stalls and talk with stall-holders and minstrels dressed in period costumes.
