Your birthday at Chillon Castle!

1. Medieval Birthday Party

You can invite your friends to go through the prisons and secret passages of the castle of Chillon. You will be taken along its dark and mysterious passageways by Alan, the gentle page. He will tell you the fabulous story of the Count of Savoy and of the terrible basilica. An ancient parchment may lead you to his hidden treasure.

Then to celebrate your discovery, you can invite your friends to a marvellous birthday feast in a cosy little room in the castle decorated especially in your honor, or in the lovely garden where we will welcome you like a prince or princess!

For your birthday, you and your friends will become explorers and you will be the head archaeologist. With the help of the caretaker who has all the keys to the castle, you will be able to go to places in the castle other visitors have never seen. An old map and a strange parchment that talks about the tomb of Peter II of Savoy somewhere on the island of Chillon will take you on an adventure into the darkest corners of Chillon Castle to discover all kinds of things.

After this exciting journey, a delicious picnic will be very welcome! You can enjoy it outside on the lawn, or if it’s raining one of the magnificent rooms in the castle will be made ready for the archaeologist’s team!

Professor Mc Gonagall will be here to welcome her young apprentice sorcerers to Chillon Sorcerer’s School. Everyone will have a magic wand so that they can make a magic potion for courage and bravery to go off on the search for the philosopher’s stone. Then you and your friends will relax and enjoy a game of Jonchet, a game of giant pick-up-sticks from the 16th century.

Of course, later you will all gather around the magic potion cauldron in a lovely garden or cosy warm in a room in the castle to share your birthday food and cake.

Informations for parents

• Birthday parties on Wednesdays and Sundays from 14:00
• The party is 2 hours long.
• The visit (in French or in English) is 45 minutes long.
• Children from 7 to 12 years old.
• Up to 12 guests (maximum).
• Two adults (minimum) must accompany the group.
• Reservations at least one month in advance.

Price

Basic charge:  CHF 320.- (10 children + 2 adultes)
+ CHF 20.- per additional person

The price includes:

• Entry tickets
• Special birthday hostess-guide
• Birthday gift
• Party favours for all the guests
• Rental of the hall or garden decorated for the birthday party feast
• Beverages (fruit juice and soft drinks)
• VAT

Nota bene: We leave it up to the parents to bring their own birthday cake!

Reservations

The reservation must be made at least one month before the date required.

To reserve, please call  021 966 89 10  to pick the date. You must then send us the attached reservation request form in writing and duly signed.

You will receive confirmation from us and will be contacted a few days before the birthday party by your activity coordinator.

Cancellations

Cancellations made the day before or the day itself will be invoiced at CHF 320.-
